I think it's rather shady; what can I lose by contacting the person?

I'm really curious to see what can happen if I mess with the person lol...

Probably a Nigerian scam, eh?

Just for kicks, I sent a reply email; I'll update this when I get a response.

Code:
Hello.

I am so excited that I won.

Please tell me where to send my bank account details.

I look forward to being successfully scammed.

Cheers.

Alec

Then your email address will be a junk email address. They will continue to send you different scam emails. It may be pain in the rear! :)

I know of this scam, they ask you for your bank account info, etc, then when they are about to send there becomes some sort of problem and they request to send them $5,000 and then you'll receive your money.

Yeah. The only reply I got was a form to fill out my personal details, so I never replied back again.

1) NEVER reply
2) My Granddad once got one of these, and phoned up the national lottery to find out. They were very helpful!
If you're in doubt.. phone them up!
