Thats a good call. I agree.
Personally, I think the drop in renewal prices will help stabalize the .in market in general (i.e. less drops). Especially the LLL.in market.

About 6-7 months ago, there were a lot of double premiums dropping, many of which remained unreg'd for a few weeks/months. You won't see this happening now; thanks to the promo reg' pricces and lowered renewal prices.

Strangely enough, most of my LLL.in end-user sales have been mainly single or double premiums. I've yet to receive an end-user type offer on any of the all premiums.

I wonder whether it will hold, though I must confess I'm dropping some of the lower quality names in my list as and when I replace them with something better.

it will happen very soon, but I think the "lower quality combinations" will still be dropped, reg fee is cheaper then renewal LOL, as long as there is no competition for these names it's probably a good move to let these names drop and re-reg them right away. Not sure about in a few months though, .in namespace is a fast moving extension (pointing upwards)

Actually if a buy out does happen, drops will come down because then even the 'inferior' quality names will be snapped up with as much glee and speed as the triples are atm.

Am sure the drops will continue as you say Toni, till the reg promo continues, which seems to be never ending now.

Interesting times though, specially for people already sitting on huge lll.in holdings.

the lll.in is definitely experiencing change. It has been a bit slow, but its there. I was cherry picking good double premiums from the available lll.in list in 2008 and 2009 but thats not possible today.It is my core belief that lll.ins will still boast some of the best sales .in experiences over the next 10 years.
