I like it... in fact, I love it. That, to me, is exactly why the .info exists. Develop it into a great, historical site. Stay neutral politically and then market the living snot out of it. I think this could be developed into something great.

Many will say that the .info hurts you... but they are likely to be considering it from a traffic/ppc rev point of view and I think you can do alot better than parking revs with this one.

The owner is not saying he will be making money out of it... why not after all
The proceeds if any can benefit those affected by the tragic events.
I think the name is not bad but has little value without development.
We all know that the attacks have been exploited in a shameful way by the current administration so I second what GoPC is saying, try to go the historical perspective and stay neutral politically.
It would be interesting to report about the Saudi connection, the oil business, the support lended by the US to unfriendly regimes and how it actually undermines national security and vital interests etc. etc. :hehe:
IMO the best use would be educational.

I'm afraid that if the plan is to make personal profit from this domain either through reselling it, or through PPC ads, then I'd see it as being in bad taste, unless of course you were to donate proceeds to various 911 causes

With that aside, there are already a lot of 911 sites out there that cover every aspect of the tragedy imaginable, so that would make SE rankings tricky, and the name doesn't strike me as one which would recieve a major amount of type-in traffic either - i'd imagine people looking for 911.com, sept11th.com and a whole slew of other combinations before typing in Sept112001.info

aside from the events, this wiill not be good to make a personal profit on. If it is toward the cause though people may type it in, but sept is a word and 112001 are numbers so that may not work out too well in the long run

I understand what you mean, but I didn't ask the value of this domain and would not want to profit 9/11. I wanted some input on this domain and I basically wanted to know what to do with it. GoPc suggested a memorial site which is probably the only thing you can do with a name like this. Thanks to everyone for their comments.

I like it.. if you bought it for info purpose then maybe you can post the LOOSE CHANGE video talking about what really happened on 9/11.

Good domain, .info fits it nicely. I would say mid xx high xx.

I'm doing a similar thing (although, not historical) with www.GuardOurBorders.org

Using it as an awareness piece and donating whatever the site may make above the costs of maintaining it to charity or directly to the MinuteMen or whatever.

There is nothing wrong with building up the sept112001.info site into something informative and profitable if you use that profit to spread the word, further develop the site and pass the overages on to support 911 in some way.

In fact, it's an honorable thing.
