SEO ??? Lost and confused

Okay, I am looking for an SEO expert... But before you reply and overwhelm my inbox and this thread please read this post all the was through!


I have seen tons of seo proposals that make me all warm and gushy all over but do not deliver any results.
So tell me WHAT? you would like to do, HOW often you will do it(in our industry optimization is on a daily basis) and finally tell me how much you want to get it done.

Now go to overture and estimate the traffic for our keywords, and NOW tell me how much of that you can drive to our site www.MBSAutoParts.com

"cheap auto parts"
"discount auto parts"
"Honda auto parts"
....

If I can bring our site to PR 4 on Google, I am sure experts can and will deliver 10.

I not sure anyone could help you out with that 10 your looking for, but if you've got the budget, those three word keyphrases arent the hardest I've seen...

I can give you a couple of tips for free..

#1 Forget about chasing the PR, it's not very important anymore..
#2 Get links, LOTS of links, with the keywords you are chasing as anchor text.
#3 Use <h1> and <h2> (heading 1 and 2) tags around the keywords you are going for...

Those were the free tips, there are still several other things you could do....

For a professional job expect to spend thousands and hundreds a month. Those are competitive keywords so expect to pay a ton. I suggest (no offence to any freelancers on here) but staying away from freelancers in this kind of business. I've had horrable results with about 3 differnt freelancers on non competivie keywords. And even wourse, a inexperenced seo can get your website banned on search engines.

I suggest contacting www.seorank.com or www.seoinc.com or www.submitexpress.com these are the best seo's i've seen with results that can prove that.

No offense to those high end SEO companies (I used to work for one), but they can be a waste of money. Submitexpress for example, has a LOT of BBB complaints - they're one of the worst. SEOInc will get you results, but you WILL be quoted anywhere from $20,000 - $25,000 a year. I used to work for an SEO company - if you find a good SEO freelancer you will save a TON of money. Same thing happens with my best friend - he's a professional photographer - he hooked up with a big company out of Philly that outsources all of the work they get (they have the ad budget, office space, etc) to FREELANCERS. One guy actually turned down a proposal by my friend to photograph his wedding - they wanted to go with a "big" company. They paid the "big" company, and they couldn't believe it when my friend came walking in through the door. They spent $2,000 MORE than if they would have paid my friend directly. I'm in the same boat.

Well, Its not hard to get your site top 10 position for these keyphrases. Thats why I believe you should target "Auto Parts". Getting a top 10 position for auto parts is not impossible but not easy.

1) You will need to fully optimize your website.
2) Build your website link popularity.
3) Buy links or ad space in related websites. OPTIONAL

If you do pay an expert to do the jop for you, ask him the following:

1) What other seo projects has he done and what keywords he targeted ?
2) How long would it take him to get you a top 10 position for your keywords ?
3) How many links can he get your website monthly ?
4) What seo methods dose he use ?
5) Whats his current website rank for his targeted keywords ?
