domain sent.pm - semi hack

I hand registered the domain sent.pm, because i was able to get a steep discount. I don't usually do hack type domains, but there's no value in the .pm extension anywhere, except time based hacks (ie. 12.pm, 10.pm, 9-5.pm)

Obviously in this case, the domain means "sent private message". I think it's a great start for a social site.

Renewal will cost $40 next year, so i'll either let it drop or try to sell it by then - developing in the mean time either way (i haven't coded social networking before, it's been on the to-do/to-learn list).

Appraisals (and development suggestions) welcome! Anybody think it's worth more than the few dollars i spent?

Well i didn't get ripped, because there's a 70% chance that "a few dollars" is a lower purchase price than "<10$". I'm going to develop for learning though, i've coded a forum before but have been looking at networking for a long time. I like to host my projects on their own domains :]

I like this one a lot, i guess that means i'm the only end user!
