Hi

My new webmaster directory http://www.senaia.com is up and running now.

First of all, what do you think of the design in general ? Any ideas or suggestions ?

Im using IE only. Anyone using firefox or netscape, please visit the site and till me if you notice any design problems such as the width.

Also, do you see width problems here or is it just me ?

http://www.senaia.com/submit.php

Any help/advice is appreciated. Thank You.

Also feel free to add your site if its webmaster related

Site looks great in IE7. I personally love the top half - very Web 2.0. But the actual directory part could use a little work. Not very unique/professional looking as is.

Yes there are width problems on the submit page. Should be very easily fixed.

Good luck!

Detailed Analysis

Your directory is really appealing in look, but there are many small things that need to be fixed. Overall, it is easy to navigate and the design is excellent.

First and foremost, your header has a big spelling mistake. http://www.senaia.com/templates/SpringBreak/images/header-11.jpg Webmaster should be one word, and 'resources' is spelt wrong. Next, your width for certain divs are out of place. It might be a browser or monitor problem. I would go through each page and check them out using a multi-browser check.

Those two images are screenshots of what they look like on my computer.

With your categories, they are well organised. On the pages with website lists, you should consider a PageRank preview for each website to see what PR they have. With individual pages, the width problem still exists.

On the 'Submit Link' page, you should say that it is free, so you can get a lot more members submitting sites. The 'Our Services' page makes it look like it costs $25 to submit a link to the directory as well.

As your directory is PR 0, it will be difficult to get members to sign up. Having a small counter at the bottom of the main page telling how many sites you have in your directory will certainly assure more people that your directory is not bad. You might also want to have small contests offering featured links etc.

Good luck - remember to fix the header and add a favicon!

Review by Anthony Lieu. Your site was accessed on an ADSL T1 connection, on Mozilla Firefox with a screen resolution of 1280x1024. Thank you for allowing me to review your website design - I hope it was useful.

The spelling mistake in the header was fixed.

Individual pages "width" has also been fixed.

I will be adding a description to the submit page to make it more clear that its free to add a site and no linking back is required. I will also work on the Services page and also make it clear, that the $25 are for the hand submit service to 250 directories.

Submit Page width, im still tring to figure out the problem.

Different design view when using multi-browser. I will also try to fix this soon.

Your review brought up many issue's I did not even notice and for this, I thank you.

Rep points added and some $NP donated. Thanks Again.

All other reviews, sugesstions and opinions are welcome.
