I have a couple of .org.nz , Net.nz , me.uk, co.uk and even .cc and .ws

My question, is there any difference in selling a country domain or Pushing it.

I had heard some foreign were difficult to transfer to another person in case of a sale. I was curious. I know when I registered the net.nz I got a email from New Zealand Organization that runs the .nz domains telling me I was on record there as the owner. If I transfer to another I would assume the Registrar would alert the organization that runs it in New Zealand??

depends on the extention. Remember that to change owner of a .UK domain, you will need paperworks to be signed.

Very true. .uk , and a few others, are still old school! Paper? Ha!

Most extensions cannot be pushed.
Instead you need to initiate a procedure with the registry to change ownership.

.com, .net, .us., .org, .biz and a few others are more the exception than the rule.
It's because they used a shared registration system (SRS) where each registrar maintains the whois information for their domains, whereas the other TLDs are registry-centric (the registry holds ownership data).

Sometimes it can be cumbersome but it's not too difficult usually. But I would advise you to check these kind of details before you invest in a particular TLD. Some TLDs may not even be transfered to another party, .au being just an example :)
