Hi .. new to the forum. Writing you from Honolulu, Haaawaiiii

Trying to get a set of our sponsor logos to a transparent GIF format. I have the original EPS source files. When I do "save to web" and use GIF, with transparency it only allows me two colors, so the edges are very jagged.

And when I bring it down to web size it looks awful.

How can I create a nice-looking transparent GIF (about 150-200 wide and about 60 high) The EPS file is big, as in 1500 wide.

Anyone got a shortcut or trick?

Thanks in advance!

eps - Encapsulated Postscript

it's a vector format....

my best tips would be to

export it to corel draw or illustrator

and than save as gif...:)

if it's not animated use a .png - if it is animated, just go to imageready and "Save Optimized As" - 100% quality - make sure you have no background layer in the layers -

Convert the original file to RGB color, then remove the areas that need to be transparent, then resize to required size. Save as transparent gif.

use magic eraser in photoshop or the export options in fireworks that allow for a convert.
