Hi all,

OK so i submitted a few domains to sedo's great auctions and last night they were showing as not for sale with a yellow triangle next to them but today there is nothing next to them at all ??

Have my domains been submitted ?? or not ??

I have not received any emails to say they were submitted, i don't want to submit the same domains again and then get refused,

When i was in the process of submitting yesterday there seemed to be some strange goings on and the site seemed to freeze at one point.

How do i check ?? there doesn't seem to be any function in sedo's domain management system to check your submitted domains.

Basically what i am asking is have my domains been submitted or not ??

Cheers.

Brett.

Good question, Brett. You may or may not get an email confirming that your domains have been accepted. See, that's just Sedo's way, of letting you know basically they just don't give a flip. Sedo is so very much last month's news that personally (oh yeah, it's personal!) I believe most folks have even forgotten they exist. The sooner they go under and disappear the better, IMHO.

Sorry for my rant. To get back on topic, you might just keep checking to see if your domains have been added to their Great Domains auction list. Otherwise, if you have an account rep, send them an email asking them to confirm for you.

Usually it means they weren't accepted once that triangle goes away. You could always check the auction itself, since they list them early to see if your name is there. You should get an email if they're rejected, usually about Quality Requirements not being met, even tho they could be better than some of the garbage they let thru.

Good point. I seem to recall that was the case the last time I was rejected by Sedo's crack team of domain evaluators and summarily left hanging in the lurch.

Thanks guys,

Yep all 5 rejected ?? but yet some of the sh@t that is currently put up for sale in their pre approved so called great domains auction and mine were priced to sell WTF,

On another note ... so if sedo is going under where seems to be the best place now no sell our names ??

You can forget f ing flippa that's just a money printing machine in my eyes and i personally found it crap!

Unfortunately I think Sedo will prevail survive. Sometimes poop floats. You might try GoDaddy or Afternic, though I really don't have any personal experience with either.

Yes. That is correct. I personally have had greater success at GoDaddy than at Sedo.

What's the longest you've had to wait to get paid with GoDaddy? That's why I've never used them myself, after hearing some frightful stories on that subject.

Think I've had to wait longest about 3 weeks, shortest about 5 days.

That's about what I remember hearing in the past. 3 weeks is completely unacceptable, IMO.

(Actually I seem to recall sellers waiting much longer on occasion.)

Well you did ask for my experience. Not other peoples :) 3 weeks is a tad long. I'm happy they weren't all that long :)

I applied for these two of my domains.

They accepted furious and rejected wii which i think has more quality than most of the domains in the auction. I wonder why they rejected wii?

I'm not sure they do - I tested some of mine and found that GD initially shows them for sale when you search for a domain at GD, BUT if you click to buy it takes you to an auction page that says the auction isn't on anymore. Double failure - makes it sound like domain sold, and not at a fixed price. Anyone know about this?

Found this guy talking about something similar, but probably out of date http://onlinedomain.com/2012/12/04/...edos-refusal-to-remove-domains-from-go-daddy/
