I guess the buyer of adam.net is an individual so this probably doesn't speak much to broader trends but it is still great to see a very nice .net sell well. Congratulations to both parties! A very underrated extension.

How so?

.net along with .com are the original core TLDs with .org being of specific usage initially (non-profits.)

I don't think .gg or .cv or most convenience ccTLDs are more worthy than .net. It has a great followship in Europe and other locales as an alternative to .com.
