Hi,

Someone make an offer of my domain in Sedo for mid xx (Euro). How much should I ask in counter offer?

This will be my first domain sale, so I do want to make this sales, but I do want to get maximum return possible.

Please advise.

Unless you qualify for their lower fees (US and UK sellers only, I believe), then Sedo collects a minimum fee of 100Euro, so if you have a mid-XX offer, then you have to consider how much will be left for you after their commission.

And don't forget the minimum commission still applies to the U.S. and U.K. unless you had the domain parked with them already.
But if you're in the clear on both of those fronts, and you're happy with that price, just take it (I might be the one buying it from you ;) (not really)). Otherwise, offer something you'd be happier with.
BOL,
Allan

Your question cannot be answered without knowing what the domain is. That makes all the difference in the world. In fact, it could mean the difference bewteen whether a counter offer will ruin your chances of the sale or not. A counter offer is not always acceptable.

That is the prblem with sedo, their greed loses a lot of sales.

Last week i got an offer on a mid $$ domain, buyer offering $160 which was more than its worth.

However, my email goes, offer $160 less sedo fee $150, you get $10... So im like "ya riiiight". Counter offer of $300 and buyer cancels negs...

Ive never been able to understand sedo fees... The scenario of which i mention above probably happens hundreds of times a day. Why not charge 50% of domain sales under $200. I mean its not as if any sales suck up any admin time...
