I was rather surprised to find my first ever bid on a domain at Sedo today, despite having 100 domains there for over a year!

So i pushed it to auction, thinking maybe i will get a higher bid, but imagine my surprise when i see im on page 193 with 100 domains a page!

What on earth is going on at Sedo? How is it every domain in Germany is listed ATM, most without any bids? D-:

I feel for you!! Sedo is holding a big pre-auction at the moment:

"Sedo is hosting a Pre-Auction for 1, 2, and 3- character .de domains from Friday, Oct. 16th through Thursday, Oct. 22nd.

The Pre-Auction gives Sedo members an exclusive advantage to bid on 1, 2 and 3-character .de domains before they are released from Denic, the official registry of the .de country code top-level domains (ccTLD). The .de domains include all letter and number combinations. Not only is this a big deal for Sedo’s German clients, but it’s also a great opportunity for international investors to own the most sought after ccTLD domains on the market! After the Pre-Auction, Denic will open the bidding up to a vast array of businesses and end users at 9 AM Central European Time (CET) October 23rd."

I would have thought they could list them separately rather than cluttering up the main auction listings...! :| But looks as though they'll be gone in less than 48 hours.

 Wrong timing for a Sedo auction, but good luck, these will clear out by the 23rd of Oct and your auction will get more visibility after that.

Sedo is auctioning 19,000 odd domains that they 'hope' they catch - 1/2/3 letter .de's. This is a pre release auction. They will 'try' to catch the domain or 'acquire it from registrant for bid amount'.

I'm assuming if they can't 'capture' the domain, they'll refund the money.

Are you joking?, they don't even own the domains, WOW. How bizarre

Caught me by surprise too when I went to peruse the auction listings. I couldn't be bothered to look any further than the first 3 or 4 pages, I imagine that it would be about the limit for any potential buyer.

I feel for anyone who has a domain on auction there at the moment. :( As previously stated, cannot understand why the .de domains were not put into a seperate auction altogether!

i listed one of my single letters up for auction with a low $700 starting bid in the hope it would get more exposure with the single letter .de auction....big mistake....only had 180 views after 5 days :o
