SEDO Auctions: What is allowed to add in the domain description?

Question: in the description space (which can`t be changed once it`s on auction) I see many seller listing other info non strictly relevant to the domain which is in the auction. Can I add some links to past LLLL sales , one to this thread and one to my Blog or SEDO will close the auction if I add those links?

Thanks

Hi,

Not sure if you may do!

By discription, you may place your other domains. But no contact information. So when you will place a link to your blog, they can find your contactinformation. Sedo don't like that thinks. They are afraid you will make a deal without Sedo!! Thats the reason they say that you may never place any contact information.

So you can place your other domains you want to sell in your discription. When there is sombody who is intereseted in one of your domains and don't one to buy by Sedo. They can go to the whois and can contact you by that.

I personally would not add any links whatsoever, it's a good idea to state previous relevant domain sales and also you may get away with a "see my other listings abc.com,abcd.com etc" but i would be wary of adding outside links.
Just my opinion, i have listings with my other names in the description, i think that Sedo do not mind this as long as they are also at Sedo, at the end of the day ,it will make them money if another name sells .

All my opinion of course :)

thanks....so I could add things like:

Have a look at the last ones sold right here at SEDO:

YUSU.com $3,225 (few days ago!)

http://www.sedo.com/auction/auction_history.php?language=us&auction_id=23400&tracked=&partnerid=

DEPE.com $2,113 (last week)

http://www.sedo.com/auction/auction_history.php?language=us&auction_id=23264&tracked=&partnerid=

but not things like:

For more info about 4 letters .com prices check this thread:

and also my new Blog:

I noticed that on eBay many sellers do advertise their sites. At the end of the day I use Sedo because for the specific names I put there I want to sell them throw Sedo, I`m not trying to sell them privately :)

I have never added links to a previous sale, so i am unsure as to whether this would be ok, i just put things like" lll.com sold for $3k at Sedo 1 week ago".

Why not just send an email and ask Sedo if this violates any rules?

You are doing GREAT! Good job!

yes sure...but by the time they reply me, it`s Monday and I should move the names today...

Thanks for the appreciation :)

Plus they write:

-----------------------------------

Offer Description

In order to generate maximum buyer attention during the auction, we recommend that you complete the offer description field with key facts regarding the domain name, including a sales pitch explaining why the domain is valuable. Please note that this text cannot be changed while the auction is running.
------------------------------------

So since my purpose is to generate maximun exposure, I should be fine :)
