.mobi SearchMob goes live - Please view

SearchMob.mobi has a developed site.

SearchMob

It employs google mobile for web, image, mobile web(beta) and news searches.

You can access other features such as directions through google.

It has a whois script currently targetting com, net, mobi, org, us, info, eu others may be featured later but are currently disabled.

It has not yet had full emulation testing, I am sure it will be Ok as all scripts are serverside.

Please comment widely on this site. The more feedback, positive and negative, the better with mobi so that we can enrich the domain.

A directory portal may follow although dir.mobi and boing.mobi are doing well there.

I check your site with emulator and looks good in the emulator. One suggestion is that you can replace the .mobi logo on the top ( I am not sure if you can use that) with your logo ( move your logo up) and remove your the logo from the bottom ( this will help in downloading your site faster), maybe you can even remove the Google logo as well.

Is the site useful?

The script will interface with a registrar site to sell domains, I am not confident in this area so it is just a whois lookup at present.

Likewise the number of domains has been restricted to a handful. For a mobi site, you do not want a list extending down the screen. I could make the input box accept 'domain.ext' rather than 'domain' and do away with the checkboxes, this way I could get many more extensions enabled. Opinions please.

Just wan't to wish you luck with your site, yours has as much chance at being the next google as google(.)mobi IMHO, a lot of work, a lot of luck..... who knows.....

Could you not output all the avaliable .ext's to a 'select list box'.. with the most popular being a default?.. would save screenspace,while giving your customers the abillity to choose others if they wish.

Yes, I was thinking of that or similar, my first priority was putting a site up, but I could put over a hundred exts on there. I hope it is useful, I am toying with reselling.
