Since Domain catch and drop are popular I bought these names with the .name extension thinking the key words are (domain catch name) and (domain drop name) and may do well in the search engines after some aging and tweaking.

Wondering if you think I'm right and what the appraisal is.

I'm not so sure they would rank well in search engines. Doesn't google treat .name as negative SEO? But the keywords would obviously help.

Domain catch and domain drop are good with.name extensions(IMO)

Many people may not know about .name extension but your websites targeted customers are domainers, they definetly know about .name

all the best

Have never heard .name is treated with negative seo.

Would like to have gotten Generic.name , premium.name , domain.name and appraisemy.name but their already taken.

Google does not discriminate on TLD's. As long as all the other factors are in place, a domain can rank high. E.g. my silly domain http://malakas.org was #1 for the keyword for several years, then Wikipedia took over & it's at #2 (hard to compete with these ppl) but it's still higher than the .com

I've seen even .travel domains rank high in Google. E.g. QBT.travel ranks in the first 10 for the qbt initials.

.name is not the most desired extension but these domain keywords work for a domainers usage, I have a standing offer of $600 on (appraise) .name and have gotten about 6 other offers slightly lower than that in the past month so a little demand on these from domainers, good luck with your .name domains.

That's good to know. Thanks

Okay, sounds like there may be some hope for the future of some .names
