Script to get inoformation related to universities

I am looking for a script, which can get information related to all universities around the world! For example, how facebook did have it earlier, that a person can only register if he is from a university! I want to know how to do that, other than manually sitting and entering each univerisity's Information.

All information will be appreciated.

at least you need to understanding some basic stuff, each files contains a readme.txt or install.txt w/ step by step instructions on how to install.

you can search in google for me it will be the best

i also preffer to search in http://sourceforge.net/search/ it is very good for script search they got a huge collection so go there search also use google for best search.
