What's up with google. I have and adsene site with them and it takes forever to score on their search. If you type Britney Spears Twins, on MSN I'm at number 1, Yahoo, Number 4, and google like page 4 or 5. Anybody ranked their site high on Google with a special technique?

I find it is easy to get listed in google. Longest I've had to wait is 24 hours for my sites to show up.

Add another year onto your domain names life, that'll increase your rank a bit. Easiest way to think, is think how you can show an automated search engine that your site is NOT spam. This will get your ranking higher.

thanks guys, the site is less than a month old, but it's ranked high on msn and yahoo, that's why i figured it shouldn't be that hard to get to google.

Google is very different from MSN and Yahoo and the easiest way to make a difference is have your domain registered for the next 2 years (at least).

Yes. Google has been fedup with the spamming of his search engine for a while, because it simply decredits the search engine.

I believe your site was sandboxed by google because its one month old. The google sandbox effect is a filter that is applied on new websites and hold them back from showing in google SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages). This effect will last for 6 months - 12 months from the day google spider index your website. Its normal for your website to rank high in google SERP's for the first two weeks before its effected by the google sandbox.

Although google said that the filter was created in order to fight spam sites, multible affiliate sites, expired domain names...etc but I believe this was created in order to increase google ADWORDS sales which did in fact. Check out how much google STOCKS have increased in the past year. Fighting spam is a big lie because ALL NEW SITES get sandboxed. Are all new sites spam !!

If your site is old and outdated, then you will get lots of traffic from google but if your site is new and with fresh content, then your site is no where to find in google, unless you pay them for google adwords.

Google has tripled there stock prices this year but we all know that What Come's Up, Must Come Down and guess what, google stocks has just started to fall down. They forgot that there are other major search engines still out there. Now I see huge number of webmasters optimizing thier sites for msn & yahoo and simply forgeting all about google.

Now, many researchs has been made by seo experts and the results were not good. there is no way to get rid of the google sandbox effect. In fact, many seo experts believe that the google sandbox will only change but its here to stay. I have also read that yahoo & msn might also use a similar filter but I read this from one seo resource only.

You are absolutely right, it comes down to profits. Why should google let you rank when they can butcher you with their adwords costs. A friend of mine got lucky with one of his products and was spending over $1000 per day with google. All his terms would get approved, representatives would make courtesy calls, they even sent him small gifts (usb mini drive). When his site wasn't doing so well (he went back to spending about $50 per day with them), everything went back to the same story. Terms without the proper click ratio would be dropped so you had to spend the 5 dollar intiation fee and soforth. The bottom line is corporate greed. The same reason thousands of Iraqis and US soldiers are dying every day: to keep the pockets full of some old CEO businessman. Sorry if it is a bit off topic, but I think it should be said.

Although it would look good the first time you read it but if you read carefully, you will find that its not good at all because you are targeting VERY general keywords such famous,rumors,news..etc
It should be Britney Spears News, Rumors About Britney, Britney Spears Twins...etc

Yes, I know that you will need to repeat Britney Spears more than one time but its not spam. According to my studies, you can repeat a keyword up to 7 times in the keys tag and have no problems with search engines.

Anyway, the keywords tag is not important these days for major search engines, the most important thing is your title and description. The keywords tag is mostly read by META search engines and hardly have any value for major one's like google or yahoo.

You are right about this as google dose not like well optimized sites anymore BUT do I risk unoptimizing my site hoping that google MIGHT one day remove it from the sandbox or forget about google and optimize the site in order to get traffic from other major search engines like msn & yahoo. I would say optimize your site and build your site link popularity and you will get traffic from other search engines, rather than not optimize and wait for google to have mercy on you !!

I quickly rewrote his tags to show him that they were not correct for what he needed. So ya they were not perfect but it should have pointed him in the correct direction for google optimization as I saw it, as thats the only one he is concered about aparently. I find MSN and yahoo are less picky.

Your comments are valid however and good at pointing out more troubles with the sites meta tags, I am going to ad to your rep as you showed me a few things. As really the title/description and page text is most important.

2 more small tips
Add a H1 tag as the header with major Keywords like "Britney Spears and Keven Federline are having Twins" and use css to style it to match the site.
Use B (Bold) tags around major keywords on your page.
