Quite plain. You think you can add more colours to that? Make it more exotique! Everywhere's white, that's pretty plain...

You know what you can do? Make a border around all the contents, and make a light shade of gray/silver as background.

I just visited it, that seems to be exactly what he did.
I like the design, I think it looks sleek and clean, which is appropriate to the content. One small practical criticism is the date being on the same line as the title, it's pushing stuff into multiple lines which is unattractive. Other than that, very nice.

The font color is wanting, as it clashes with the gray background and blends too much into the white page.

For content alone it's nice, but if you want more traffic, the site needs something to keep folks there (have to get folks to want to stay at your site, instead of the major science outlets -- like Livescience.com and Space.com).

A little more flair, a different font color and it'll do (as your site is about content).

thanks everyone. I'll try and add more features to the site. I definately agree with the date being on the same line as title. I'll do something to fix that. As far as text color, I think I might keep it the way it is, but add a little more flair to the page in general to keep readers on for a while.

I agree about changing the background color. The entire site is a little blinding with all the light colors. The content is great and you have done a great job on the layout. Just work on adding a little more color!! Good Job.

Overall, I like the site, but almost every element feels a little off with its surrounding white space (bad padding or margins). For example, the white space in the narrow side bar shouldn't be more than the whitespace surrounding the wider articles. I'm viewing in Safari 1.3.1.

Cool. I messed around a bit with the way dates are represented and I'm still thinking on a few extra features that I might add. Other then that, I think I'll leave the layout and color scheme the way it is. Thanks for all of your suggestions.
