This is why you also dont run out and buy domains related to a huge company's new product. If the company wanted your name, you can be sure they would have registered it before releasing the name to the public.

Exactly, scammers always be scamming, and now in addition to mail, phone and fax, they now be using the Internet. Big surprise assuming you've been asleep for 30 years, and as you said, it has nothing to do with domain investment.
