I'm surprised so many people are willing to pay $50/yr. for .sc names. If they were a more recognizable ccTLD, then maybe... but .sc might as well be .ag or .io at $50/yr...

But if you apply logic outside of the domainer world the average kid going to school using the net all day does not Know .cc,biz,.ws,maybe even .info or .us. I aske dbefroe are the top 500 keywords in any cctld worth registering? And .SC ahas the best developed cctld siite of the exotic ones not including .us .de .co .uk in WHOIS.sc

While ascribing some connotation to the domain ext helps in marketing, I'm beginning to think it really doesn't make much of a difference to the domainer/speculator.. it seems they will pair just about any word with any ext..

.Name (for one) is full of inappropriate domains.. and I suspect the registrars don't care, so long as they get their fee... in the end, I think most ext will either clamp down really hard or 90% of them (or more) will go completely the other way and allow anything.

Agree, David. Most importantly, I think is the domain name itself. We can always come up with some weird ideas for the ext no matter if it is a .tv, .fm, .cc or .ws etc..

Thats about the price of them, $50 a year...

Expensive, thats why I don't reg them. Since I go by NP thats like 3000NP, which if I never spent any of my NP, I would probabally be able to reg 1 of those domains.
