auctions SBR.org auction won by ...the entity that lost the domain!

How do you burn $5,000+ dollars? By not renewing a domain such as SBR.org.

The domain was used as a forwarder for Small Business Revolution, an Emmy-nominated six part series by Deluxe.com, but they let it drop. The former registrant bid against others at DropCatch and re-acquired the domain.

Moral of the story: Companies must keep close track of their IP assets, such as domain names.

I guess good for them. It is too bad for them they made a mistake, but it was wise to bite the bullet and pay the $5k to get it back at auction against wholesalers. It probably would have cost them a lot more if they waited until it was only available at retail price.
