With gas prices so high, the media is awash with lists of gas-saving tips. Well how's this for a tip? If you listen to us, you can see hybrid-type savings without having to buy a new car.

Yep, I've heard most of those. The reason (or at least one of the reasons) the government sets the speed limits around 55-70 mph on the highway is because thats the speed in which you get the best gas mileage, so it has less of an impact on the environment. Anything above that and you're wasting a lot of gas and releasing a lot of pollutants into the atmosphere.
