Running script without cron

I'm having problems with the cron on my server and I cannot wait any longer so I was wondering if anyone knows of a script or something that will run a script such as my cron.php regularly. Nothing fancy, it just needs to run my script every so often.

Thanks,
-Ambrose

You can try my service at www.cronservice.co.uk that allows you to run as many cron jobs as you want remotely.

Hope this helps.

If 'at' is in a seperate subsystem you may able to use that, with it resubmitting itself at the end each time.

Other way may be to post about what is wrong with your cron and maybe someone can help you fix it.

You could also use wget and run it from your own computer, just use "AT" at the command prompt.

If you use cPanel I can help you making cron jobs :)

Yes I am using cpanel but when I try ot run a cron by using the cron Jobs window, I keept getting something like !bin/sh/ line 1: WGET command not found
or Get command not found.

I thought it was a server problem but I could just be my lack of cron knowledge...

Thanks!

Unix/Linux is case sensitive, it should be 'wget', 'curl' or 'GET' (the perl LWP program you seem to be trying to get with 'Get'.
