Running PHP Scripts

is it possible to run a PHP script without uploading it to a server that can parse it? i want to be able to just open it like an html file and have the script be run. it makes debugging a lot more easier when i dont have to upload it after adding a semicolon just to see if it works. i think this is possible on a mac, but i want to do this on windows.

also, i dont want to turn my computer into a server either. can u install the parser without makin the pc into a server?

install easyphp, you start and stop it as required

If you want to run it from your pc, you need to install webserver (I recommend apache) and php (+mysql if you need it). The fastest way to do that is to use EasyPHP

I've never used easyPHP. But it sounds a lot like xampp. Xampp is a program which installs multiple PHP programs including PHP itself, MySQL and apache. It's very easy to use but EasyPHP is probably easier

it shouldn't, especially if your behind a router. you should be safe.
