Is there a general rule of thumb for the value of a domain hack vs. the value of the .com?

Say for instance that lemonade.com sold for 50,000. Roughly how much would you say lemona.de would be worth? This is just an example and I am not asking you to appraise lemona.de but just wondering if there is a ball park conversion from a .com to a hack. (Also would the conversion depend on the ccTLD?)

there are no ball park conversions. Hacks sell very rarely and are more of a collector's item. If you're planning to make your money on hacks, I suggest you look elsewhere. Further, the only hacks that are worth it are short and balanced (Blo.gs, Foru.ms, Boo.bs, etc.). The example you used, Lemona.de is too uneven to be worth anything anyways.

There is no rule of thumb for the value of hack. But for hack to have values they must be short. It is true that hack sell very rarely as sashas mentioned that's because domain hacks are rare. Most short hack sells around $x,xxx
