I've been reading some Y! news today and stumbled across this:

We all want something for nothing. But when it comes to our ringtones, we really get cheap. Searches on "free ringtones" are double those of plain ol' "ringtones" queries. For those unwilling to pay a penny for a tone, we offer up some ring-worthy data.
If you're considering a ringtone pulled from pop music hits, here are the top 10 music ringtone searches from the past week...
1. Lil' Wayne Ringtones
2. Madonna Ringtones
3. Chris Brown Ringtones
4. Avenged Sevenfold Ringtones
5. Nelly Furtado Ringtones
6. Beyonce Ringtones
7. Jonas Brothers Ringtones
8. Soulja Boy Ringtones
9. Justin Timberlake Ringtones
10. 50 Cent Ringtones
Not ready to startle your friends with Soulja Boy barking from your phone? Well, we've also seen an uptick in searches on other pop culture ringtones. Here are the top 10 from the past week...
1. Final Fantasy Ringtones
2. Family Guy Ringtones
3. South Park Ringtones
4. 24 Ringtones
5. Star Wars Ringtones
6. Hannah Montana Ringtones
7. Bollywood Ringtones
8. Alvin and the Chipmunks Ringtones
9. High School Musical Ringtones
10. Harry Potter Ringtones
As for basic ringtone searches, we dialed up the latest top 10. iPhone users lead the way, but there's a push among folks who want to create their own distinctive ring...
1. iPhone Ringtones
2. MP3 Ringtones
3. Polyphonic Ringtones
4. Make Your Own Ringtones
5. Myxer Ringtones
6. Funny Ringtones
7. Cricket Ringtones
8. Jamster Ringtones
9. Blackberry Ringtones
10. Grits and Eggs Ringtones
Ringtone sales have been going strong for years. However, given this article, what's that mean for the domainer? Is it too late to grab a slice of this cake or has the train for ringtone domains/sales long left the station?
