Yep, you do need a banner and a custom logo.
The site needs generally a bit more action, flash movies and/or animated phones where users can get a 3D view of a phone, the view should ideally be able to rotate.

Take the categories from the skyscraper side bar and move them horizontally under the banner, mold them into buttons and start getting some comments on each phone.
Get some level of backdrop image, the site is too unspectacular at this time. Deliver some action, be as innovative as the phones you're blogging about.

Other than that, the site itself is pretty straight forward. :tu:

The site really to me just doesn't stand out... It looks like you are just using the standard Wordpress theme. Like the above poster said as well, you need to stand out from the rest. Do something original.

if you don't want to have a completely original wordpress theme done for you, I'd go looking at http://themes.wordpress.net/ - there's dozens of light and dark themes to download for free.

Look around at the link InsideLine gave, there should be a few (free) professional looking themes there. Alternatively, get a custom design made. If you PM me, I can recommend a good designer

I'd personally like to see a 'top phones' type table, which would look ideal on the right menubar. Also a few handy links across the top would look good, even if they're just text links. Good luck with it

You seem to have some good content which counts for alot but a custom banner or theme would really make a difference and needs to be updated before i can comment further.
