hi guys i was wondering what you think of my new site http://school-work.info

Your logo is cut off on the "S", your nav bar is just text and not clearly visible buttons that stand out as such. There's practically no content, which may be understandable since the site is new. However, the little bit of content you do have should stand out a bit more than it does.
If you're planning on working this site as a link directory, then i'd would suggest that you make sure that your users know that, at this time, they're left to guessing or need to look very closely to find out that this seems to be the case.

Overall, the site needs a decent visual overhaul, some accent points and something that would entice the user to use it in the first place and further on, something to come back to.

thanks for your reviews i will look into adding the improvements given the content on the site is growing although slowly at the moment but i am starting to get people add their sites rather then me adding the first few
