Ive just designed this for a client i was working from nothing, the client gave me no info on what they wanted so i had to work from my headtop.

The client wanted something for an urban/classy event running in the UK (i think)

Ive never asked for feedback, but i suppose any good feedback will only benifit me.

Site is designed using CSS and HTML, Table-less Layout.

Personally, I am not a fan of black backgrounds, but it seems to work for your clients website. I think that you did a great job and they better be happy too!

Best of luck!

Yep, it works. Given the information and outline you had from your client, i believe that your efforts have actually turned out quite nicely. The header section and banner look pretty decent. However, one thing i'd address is the logo itself. One of the key elements of a logo is that it should retain recognizability whether the logo is color or black/white and no matter what size it is. I almost believe that if you make your logo much smaller that it would become unrecognizable, check it out and think about whether you need to revisit the logo. The whole idea of the logo is based on the vehicle of branding. While the website is one avenue, it most likely will find it's way on business cards as well. Imagine your logo on the size of a business card, considering that there's additional information on it as well - would it still work, especially with the woman being "dwarfed down"?

The backdrop, due to not being solid black, works out quite nicely. The sections, nav bar, etc. work out fine as well. Just make sure that you retain the same design elements all throughout the sites and for the contact form, use an embedded form. Good idea with the email newsletter sign up.

Overall: very nice job, hook up the rest of the site and come back for a re-eval. So far: :tu::tu: 2/3

Nice one mate.

The logo was one thing i had no control over. This is because they run events and that logo often comes in different styles and colors on event flyers. They dont use business cards or anything, it only appears on A5 and A4,A3 flyers and posters, and is usually huge.

The events are Dance style events, pretty big in the UK actually.

I have a bit more tweaking to do to it, beef it up a bit more, and get the other pages done. l will come back for another reivew in a few days when ive spoke with the client and got it sorted.

Hey I think it looks great, nice job on all the graphics. Looks very professional, I wouldnt change anything, Well maybe the spikes on the bottom if you could think of something cool to put there, But the spikes on the bottom are ok, they match the logo.

Nice work!
