Review first post-html3 site

I recently took on the task of building a website for my friend.
I have not done any post-html3 development in many years.

I appreciate any bads, goods and thoughts.

I agree with holeinone, if the background was solid white, I think it would help the different elements stand out a lot more.

The Nav bar has a white mouse-over, that makes the text invisible. I suggest you redesign the site. Since your site is a static site - I would suggest you go to :

http://www.freecsstemplates.org/css-templates/

or to

www.oswd.org

They have some really nice templates. These were where I started, so look for some temlpates that fit your needs.Hope it helps.

the nav bar also highlights the background of the cell green, so yes while the text does become white, its over a green bg.

as for the background, it was the client request.

You better suggest to just remove the background. It doesn't just fit to what the site has to offer.

A new site design as others suggested will do. Obviously, it does need some more revisions.


Plus, work on your metatags. Since it will be a local site. Work on the keywords including the area covered.
