.htaccess redirect

I want to do a .htaccess redirect, but i want it to redirect www.purearcade.com to just purearcade.com, as that's where I've done most link building so far. Any help?

nice, this htaccess have to be included in the just in the main folder or it has to be putted in all folders?

if you place a .htaccess file in a folder it will affect all folders within that folder as well UNLESS a separate .htaccess file within a child folder overrides it. So no if you put it in your main folder you do not need to put it in others.
