Reseller Accounts - Help

Does anyone currently use reseller accounts and who do you use?

Is there money to be made with these accounts?

Can you decide what price to sell domains at?

I am thinking of getting into this business but need some help and advice all comments are appreciated.

Most common reseller account providers are

- Wild West Domains (GoDaddy)
- DirectI (Resellerclub)
- eNom

All of them can provide you turnkey reseller site so you can start without programming skills. You have reseller buy rates and you are allowed to vary your output pricing.

You should check and compare terms and conditions. I personally think eNom has best service but is most expensive, DirectI conditions are better but their controls and software are worst, WWD system seems optimal to me and works well. Biggest WWD resellers make monthly profits around $30,000...$40,000 but don`t count on any profit for first year, you need work hard to build up any business volume. It`s anyway not "easy internet money" scheme, it`s rather building up your real business.

Thanks for that information - Do you pay more for a TurnKey set - I use GD at present and I really like them so I will probally go down that route - Thanks for your help - Whats your best way to build up domain registrations? Advertise online throught forums or Adwords?

Nope, you don`t pay any extras for turnkey. Building up registrations is hard work, there is high competition. I wouldn`t recommend Adwords and other PPC programs unless you are really good and experienced with them, you just burn your budget. I think best way to start is to find some partners for networking - you can cooperate with your friends who offer web design services, build their forums etc. Good for you if you can find local niche - you can build loyal customer base promoting your services to local small businesses.

I think I am going to try and target the Scottish Market being based here and then branch out slowly... How does the payment work? Do they just pay you a fee per month or do you collect funds then make a payment per transaction?

US Resellers

Commission is paid at the end of the month following that in which the commission was earned. For example, commission earned in December will be paid at the end of January. Direct Deposit payment is subject to a $5.00 minimum. If you do not earn $5.00 in a month, the total commission earned will roll over to the next month until your total earnings are over $5.00.

Checks are subject to a $25.00 minimum and a $10 service fee. If you do not earn $25.00 in a month, the total commission earned will roll over to the next month until that limit has been reached. The $10 service fee will be deducted from the total amount of commission being paid. We encourage all resellers to use the Direct Deposit option to save the service fee.

International Resellers

Checks to International Resellers are sent every quarter on the following dates:

* January 31st, for commission earned October 1st to December 31st.
* April 30th, for commission earned January 1st to March 31st.
* July 31st, for commission earned April 1st to June 30th.
* October 31st, for commission earned July 1st to September 30th.

International checks are subject to a $100.00 minimum. There is no service fee.
