Resell used software

this may be a stupid question but can you sell used software?, I have Call of Duty game that I have finished and would like to sell, I see them on EBAY, just wondering if selling something already registered to one computer could be sold and used on another

I believe you can as long as you delete it completely from your computer and have no backup copies.

you can't sell it if you have to register the key like halo, because the person you sold it to can't use it

if it uses a product key up against a database, you can't. Often the software also says "No reselling". If it doesn't require any license/product key I guess you could. If you already registered it, you're out of luck
