Researching sender email from offers?

What steps do you guys take to research the "Buyer" that sends you an email. I usually just google the name and email address but sometimes there are no results.

Is there any other free methods to exhaust before concluding if the person is who they say they are?

Google is the most common way and works, you can also check in Facebook, Linked In and Zoominfo. Don't worry too much if you are not able to find any info on the buyer as long as it is a legit offer just negotiate and see where it goes.
