Size Requirements : 230px x 120px (approx.)

Color Requirements :I think brighter fun colours would work best, but use your creative instincts - anything that you think works with the layout

General Requirements : The logo should include an image/icon of some sort. The Logo should be transparent.

Additional Information : The logo is for Music-Whiz.com (Music-Whiz.com Music Database) - The logo on there now is something that I made myself - but I'm not happy with it. The logo you design should fit roughly in the same space as the logo I made. Your logo does not need to be on an angle but can be if you wish. Please choose any colours that you think will work with the layout. The old logo I was using is http://www.music-whiz.com/skins/inet2/images/logo.jpg - You'll see that logo includes the text "Community edited music database" - You can include that text in your logo if you like however it is not essential.

Having said the above, if you feel that you could do a really great logo that does not fit the above requirements please feel free to submit it anyway.

I prefer the two with the green circles. In an abstract sort of way, I can see the circles representing a cd and the lines linking between all the information on the site - I like that.

The first one seemed a bit too busy with all the different images in the logo. I think theres enough blue in the header area of the layout as it is so I'd probably steer away from blue as the main colour in the logo.

I've attached two screenshots to this post - one of the layout when a user is logged in, and the other when a user is not logged in. You'll see that the blue box near the top disappears once a user logs in. The logo should sit above that blue box, although a slight overlap is ok.

Thats another really good logo. I like how the cd icon is centered on the dot above the "i".

Could you post a pic of your logo on a lighter background? I just want to see how the dark border around the logo looks.

I like the way you've made the M and the W look like a wavey line (and I like the gradient effect) - I think thats clever, but I think I'd prefer a logo that has an image in it - Like how umxca's entry shows the cd integrated (kind of) with the text of the logo.

Thats a really great picture on that logo. Did you make her yourself?

The text seems a little plain compared to the picture, but I love how the picture hangs over the corner of the white content area on the 'logged in' page layout. If I used that logo I'd probably consider getting rid of the blue box on the 'not logged in layout' so that the logo would always overhang the corner of the content a bit. Ignore the 'not logged in' page layout and just work it with the 'logged in' page layout?

Could you try and spruce the text up a little bit? Maybe make the 'Music-Whiz.com' all that peachy colour? And maybe drop the text down a little bit so it's vertically centred more next to the picture?

The use stock images (including google images) or any other image you do not own the rights to use IS NOT ALLOWED unless you can prove to a member of staff that you do own the rights, so please check you're licenses carefully whether you have bought one or not, even paid licenses sometimes have restrictions.

I've asked a mod to verify that 'The Winner' has the relevant rights.

You do have a special type of license for that? Then I apologize.
Otherwise I guess Shutterstocks Terms of Service saying that:
"YOU MAY NOT: Use any Image (in whole or in part) as a trademark, service mark, logo, or other indication of origin, or as part thereof , or to otherwise endorse or imply the endorsement of any goods and/or services." is just a piece of sh*t?
