General Requirements :

I'm re-designing my personal website (atopia.net) to look incredibly simple. Right now, there is a blog on there, but I was getting major spam on it, and sort of have faded away from active blogging (not enough time!). Instead, I'd like to make a simple home page, and would like a logo at the top of it. I'd like the logo to say ATOPIA but also have ".net" in it. Colors, theme, style, etc. are all up to you. I promise not to be picky - something that looks nice, and something that's simple, will definitely do. I'd prefer not to have something overly complex.

I would like a transparent gif version, or if you can use a speckled white background in your logo, I can use that same image for the background of my new site.

Budget is on the low side because I'm not really looking for a logo I'm going to use in multiple places - more just to show at the top of atopia.net which will be my personal website.

I will say that I really like dark colors (for instance, maroon, dark blue, dark green, black, etc.).

It's going to have technical information on it. I probably will still have my blog on it, but it won't be the ENTIRE site. My resume will also be on it, as well as links to a few websites, etc. Just a standard good ol' personal website.

If you wanted to include a silhouette of a train engine somewhere "hidden" in the logo, I'm a very big train fan, so perhaps that would be an added bonus But it isn't required. Just an idea.

Honestly, I'd be really happy with just text and perhaps a simple swirl or swivel.

Best so far... yet I know its the only one. But wow. I REALLY LIKE THIS ENTRY.

Keep em comin' I guess since the contest is a 2 day contest - but this is #1 so far.

EDIT: makes me want to make my website background black. I think I may actually do that if I use your logo.

If anything, the first one is nice. The rest seem like bumper stickers sort of... but the first one is a possibility. I think I still like the previously submitted designs though.

Per these rules:

Extending The Deadline
The contest holder is allowed to extend the competition by 48 hours maximum IF there are less than 4 design entries from 4 different members. It is unlikely that you will not get a design that reflects your budget within this time period.


I only have designs from 3 individuals. I'd like to get at least one more. Therefore, I'm going to extend this contest the 48 hours I'm allowed to, until Monday October 6th @ 9:00 PM EST
