Hi - I need another logo made. This one is for: eBayMobiles.com

The site will feed in eBay UK mobile phone auctions. Please note, this is United Kingdom targeted...

Also note there may be issues with using eBay logo????

$30 to winning logo - which I will choose - deadline 22nd March (sorry for short notice).

Guys, I think you need to check the copyrights on this. I'm not even sure that you can use the "eBay" name, it's their company name and I would imagine it has been trademarked. Using the acutal eBay logo (or a very close representation of it) is almost certain to land you in hot water. Also, this stuff about "starting big, finishing big" is absolutely ridiculous. It will just get you into more trouble and it is silly logic, in my opinion.

I would love to enter this, but I am not doing so when I have such worries. KillerDomain, I would recommend to you that you change the company name and get rid of the eBay theme altogether, that way you can be sure that there are no issues and it may even appear better to the consumer - at the minute, they may just have the opinion that you're trying to rip off eBay.

I am in no way intending to insult any of the designers/contest holders here, I just don't want anyone to get into trouble for this and I thought I'd voice my feelings.

I think will maybe right here i think you should at least contact ebay first.

I was assuming someone with a trader rating of 25 would have known about the tm issues and wasn't worried about them, hence why I said you might as well go in and out big. I think a c&d letter will be in order, and that is all.

Becasue of the issues raised due to this competition, I have no choice to SUSPEND (not cancel) this request.

I have contacted eBay with the issues and am awaiting a reply. I will keep everyone fully up to date with the out come.
