Size Requirements : "Large" ("Scalable" might be the better word)

Color Requirements : Color - Searching "Seersucker" might give some clues as to color schemes

General Requirements : Need this for the logo for the website IBleedSeersucker.com (A play off of the old US College adage that "I bleed _insert school color here_", but for the beach/prep crowd.) See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seersucker for info and http://images.google.com/images?num...official&hs=TFC&q=seersucker&um=1&sa=N&tab=wi for images (Typically thought of as blue and white stripes). Logo should be "preppy' in the sense that I am going for the South Carolina/North Carolina beach crowd that wear seersucker like it's the new black. (Again, a US idiom, I think.)

Fonts and colors can be changed. The original is 13 inches by 9 inches. I can make it larger, more scalable if you'd like.

I just realized that the pattern could very well be a beach towel.

j-man : Just doesn't look like seersucker, and looks more 1980's pajama-party than it does 2007 "prep".

I will attempt to find something to use as "inspiration" for better direction, but let me know if there are any questions I could answer that would lead to more informed designs

I didn't even notice that. The font's capital characters are differentiated by making the font bold so all of the characters in "I Bleed" are actually capitalized.

I don't see what's tech about the actual logo, but I'd like to hear more from you about what you want.

Nothing gory/graphic (Blood red kind of slasher stuff) but rather something beachy/preppy. The above is short and to the point - will look for another version...

Again, certainly bold and clear in design, which I like. The issue is something that you alluded to in an earlier posting: Would it look good on a beach towel? Part of my thought process is that it needs to good look in a beach atmosphere (And a relaxing beach, not a resort full of Europeans with 6 weeks "holiday" ).

Just doesn't fit a softer feel.

Familiar with VineyardVines? By no means do I want you or anyone else to copy them, but they have the feel that I am shooting for.

Haha, I meant the pattern in the rounded rectangle with the light blue stroke looked like a beach towel. Not, Would it look good on a beach towel.

But I will revise soon.

humdizzy - your more recent ones are cool, and simple/straightforward which I typically like, but they seem almost too boring to me.

ohgar - looks neat, but other than a little striping it doesn't seem to fit at all.



New thoughts from me: the vineyard vines look/feel is sort of the goal; perhaps incorporate a preppy sea-gul? (sp?) Just shooting from the hip, could be any animal that isn't already taken (aka: no whales, jockeys, alligators, etc.)
