Color Requirements: Deep, orange (something like cd6600, d43d1a, ee4000, or ee7600 --I'll know it when I see it, so just design with those codes as my ideas...) for inside coloring of main logo and lettering. White or black border around lettering and logo to draw out details. Additionally, I am open to other color combinations.

General Requirements: I am looking for a hip/cool looking "sun" cartoon type character with black shades or not. In one way I picture the logo looking is a "sun" cartoon character with black sunglasses (shades), and "phat" (phat meaning, hip/cool looking) tennis shoes walking and has kind of a tail with fire bands/rays. The tail would be set behind the domain name + extension and wrap around out to the front. Remember that the lettering will have some flavor of a border to make the domain name stick out and the character will also have a border to help the character stick out as well. Most likely the logo will be set on top of a black or white background, so try to work out the right color of border around the character and lettering. The bordering could be the same around both or not.

Also, feel free to present other ideas for the character and domain positioning. Something like him pointing or a thumbs up with the domain incorporated would be cool. Looking for something that is cool and fun looking...

The site will offer fun stuff to do. Games, ecards, drawing, etc. The domain name and extension should be incorporated into the design.

Additional Information: Domain name is efun.in. Would like file formats in all possible options, but psd and png especially. The winning logo will become my property and I am free to modify it at will. Thanks to all that enter!

@Nodws - decent submission, nice work. Out of your samples I prefer the one on the bottom with the black outline border. Still not exactly what I pictured (toony sun character with big tennis shoes), but still a great submission since I am open to other ideas.

Nodws - could a see couple of revisions, if you are up to making the modifications.

The top logo sample add a border around the sun and domain name. Also, square the shades and perhaps had two arms with hands holding the domain name.

The bottom logo square shares.

Hi ChadsGFX - I did indeed see you submission. I see you worked in several of the items I mentioned.

For feedback I would suggest more of an orange color for the sun inside color and a bit more polished graphics. The domain name should be smaller and incorporated with the character for the logo. Thank you for the submission.

@ajmalhuzz - I really like what you have submitted! I have several feedback suggestions

Try adding a small black border/outline around the character and try a version where the shades are a dark black. The legs should match more of the color tone of the character unless you can make them look more like blue jeans and make the shoes look like tennis shoes (or shorts and flip flops/shoes). I feel it just needs a little color variation.


You could also try leaving the color of the shades as is, but give them a small black border/outline as well. Also, try a black border around the domain name (torn on this)...

If you are up to submitting a few different examples, perhaps adding a background color would help with determining border changes around the domain and character.

Another thought is to remove the legs completely and the dot before .in and make the sun/toon be the dot and put the in beside that...

Lastly, the thumbs up looks like there is a bit of white space where it should be colored in and I see you tried to make the outline of the fingers. Perhaps just remove the lines for the fingers there? There is also a graphic outline or line to the outside of the thumbs up hand.

Additionally, would this be a scalable vector graphic? I didn't ask for it, just thought it would be nice to have if possible.

@ajmalhuzz - awesome job. Please submit versions with black shades (make the sunglasses black) and put the dot back into the logo before the "in". The idea I threw out there was if you were dropping the legs altogether.

Stick with what you have submitted last, just make the shades black and put the dot back into the logo. Thanks!!

Also, try moving the arms down to the body.
