Contest End Date & Time : Midday 14th March GMT+8

Size Requirements : Size must match the current site (okay, under construction) at 1on1fights.com - please do note that there is usually a banner located above, so it doesn't take up that entire space...

Color Requirements :to complement website, but also to give it some character. I'd like it to stand out against that blue background, but if possible utilize blue and red (usually opposing corners in mixed martial arts events) or silver, black, white... Any colors really as long as the design pops. I really have a preference for blue and red - especially faded/grunge looking, I talk more about this a couple posts down...

General Requirements : The .com doesn't need to be integrated unless it looks good. I'll post an image of ONE type of 'font' style I like. Reason being, I like how the 1on1 is larger, yet the 'on' and 'fights' are the same size and seem to work together on their own - sort've underlying that the blog is 'on fights.' You don't have to stick with that style, so be creative! That's just one type of 'detail' I like about this image I'll attach.

Additional Information : Just be creative. I'd like it looking professional and polished, something that can pop and also be used as a brand name logo if the potential is there. Again that faded/grunge blue and red, or just plain white like we've got seems to look great. I've also attached an image I really like, if you can implement it cleverly, great, otherwise it's just a suggestion.

Hey Humdizzy, thanks for your quick entry. That's very nice. The red is a little bland for me and I'm not sold on the appearance of the 1's, though I like your thinking with them facing each other like that a lot.

Okay, you can see the site and the background colors and the size I'm working with at 1on1fights.com

I would like somehow also to integrate blue and red, and I really like the faded/grunge look... Like faded gym or fight corner colors. An example of the read I like can be seen at MMA.BS in the search box area, and so you can imagine a similar faded/grunge blue that'd look good as well..

Any other colors that would fit are fine. With a dark background, maybe a white or something. I'll likely be doing away with the orange colors you see up there now for something that maybe ties in better with whatever you guys come up with, and I think blue and red are the most appropriate sport colors. And white just always helps things look clean...

@mindopener: Thanks for the entry. I like the fighters, just a little big and the lettering is too generic/flashy.

Jman, that's really good. I'm not a fan of the color though, or the star/suns over the 'fights' portion. And not too sure about the lines behind everything, but see what you're doing and like it...

I'm really glad you tried that picture, I think it's a pretty decent one to act as a logo... (But what do I know!)

Just doesn't work with the page or the background, sorry. I like the red, I like the graffiti/splatter look, but as it stands I would stay with what we have up there now, simple as it is, simply because it's so much easier to read and stands out being white.

So are you saying that this contest is over? You are going to stick with the logo you have?
Or are you just saying that in reference to KJdesign's concept?

I was just telling him that between what I have, and what he presented, I would stick with what I have already - and the reasons why, to help him if he decided to redesign and re-submit an entry.
