[REQ-LOGO] $40 Contest

Type of Contest : Logo/Header Design
Prize : $40
Contest End Date & Time : Wednesday, January 24th 8pm EST
Size Requirements : 800x90px max
Color Requirements : Orange and Blue
General Requirements : I need a logo designed for CarrotCash.com. Possibly include an image of money, a carrot or maybe even a rabbit in there. However, I do not want the logo to look too cartooney or unprofessional. This is going to be an incentive based website. If you can think of some other symbol to use besides a carrot or rabbit, go right ahead. I am open to new ideas.
Additional Information : I have attached two images. bg.jpg is the background that I originally intended to use for the logo. It doesnt have to be used though. If you dont use it, please stick with the dark blue background. design.jpg is a snapshot of part of the design I intend to use. This is so you can get an idea on what colors I use on my site so you can match the colors in the logo.

Logo should be in .psd format

Winner can choose how to recieve the $40. If you do not want to use paypal, we can do something like an amazon gift card or something along those lines, its totally up to you. I prefer something that I can pay for with a CC online so you can get it instantly.

Sorry for not responding sooner. Ive been working on the site and a recent migrane has kept me off the computer for a bit. Anyways, new comments are below:

ZeniusIVanisher: Thanks for fixing the link. Looks much better with the carrot gone and with the dollar signs there. Great Job!

MOGBase: Looks good so far. Dont really have any other changes in mind for it right now.

blues_bogan: I like how you added the white border and the glaze to the top. I like that one a lot better like that.

i_luv_pitza: Thanks for making those changes! You are right, it does look much better with the solid background.

XanderDesigns: Like it so far. Only suggestion if maybe not use so much black in the border. The rest of my site is kinda light and bright, not sure how that would look in the design.

9Design: I really like the way you did the t and the s. Very nice.

proudcanadians: Only suggestion I have right now is to maybe make the text all of the same size.

Hayes: Nice job. Dont think it needs any changes at all.

geo-logist: I really like the carrots and money at the bottom. My only suggestion is to do a bit more with the text, like with a drop shadow or something.


Everyone has done a great job so far. I have held a few contests in the past, but never received this many entries. Its going to be very difficult to pick one. I am going to have to ask the help of my friends and place a lot of these concepts into my template to see which one(s) look the best in my design.

Hey everyone. Here are my final comments before the contest ends (unless someone posts another entry today or tomorrow morning):

dzynd4u: I really like it, its just a little too small for what I need. I prefer to have it take up a good part of the 800px width.

gio~logist: Thanks for making the changes! Looks much better.

proudcanadians: Haha, didnt even notice that. Very creative. Thanks!

J-MAN: Thanks for the 2nd version. I do not really have any other suggestions at this point though.

DennizZ: Looks really good. No changes for that whatsoever.

Alright everyone, I have come to my decision. I asked about 10 of my friends to give me their top 3 choices, and I had hoped that I would get an overwhelming majority for 1 or 2 designs, but that was not the case. After tallying the votes, I had pretty much gotten nowhere.

It came down to me placing each design into my site, and picking which one looked best, and after all of that, I have determined that the winner is ZeniusIVanisher. Please note that my decision was not influenced whatsoever by the late entry, and I have already spoken with the mods about this to make sure everything is ok.

I want to thank everyone for participating. I plan on hosting a template design contest in the near future. Thanks again. Great Job everyone
