[REQ-Header] Header for computer info site, $20 PayPal

Hi all, Hope you're having/had a great Christmas Okay:

Type of Contest: Header Design

Prize: $20.00

Contest End Date & Time: 1st January 11:59pm UK time (GMT)

Size Requirements: 940px x 135px

Color Requirements: The website's design is fairly simple, using white (content background color) and light blue (e.g. #98ade2) for the sidebar and elsewhere, to give you an idea. The current header's background color is a slightly darker #4672d5. The header's design doesn't have to be this background color, but it does have to fit into a white + [light] blue simple-ish website design. Click here for a the color scheme/general look of the design.

General Requirements: No logo or anything is needed. The website is an informational website with ads hence the header doesn't have to be too eye-catching, since naturally the content is where I want the user's focus to go. But naturally I want it to be professional looking. Hope that makes sense lol.

PSD format. Feel free to use images, but they must not be copyrighted/you must have the rights to use them, i.e. so that there's no issues with me using them.

Additional Information: The person I'm working on the site with doesn't want me posting the URL or site name up at the moment, although hopefully that shouldn't be an issue. The website is an information site about the main computer topics (so desktop computers, laptops, software, hardware etc, i.e. all things related to computers).

For the sitename and tagline/motto in the header, just use:

Computer Info

and

Learn About Computers

Since those are pretty much the same lengths as the current sitename and tagline/motto, hence I can edit them later.

I hope that all makes sense and is clear enough. If not, feel free to ask. In short, I'm paying $20 for a professional looking (albeit not too eye-catching) header design for a computer information website with (lets say) name "Computer Info" and tagline "Learn About Computers", to be used in a website with a simple white and light blue design. :bingo:

I won't give individual feedback just yet, although I wanted to say that I like elements from each but that I don't love any yet. Feel free to add some more images/color/effects to the BG if needed

As for feedback:

@BD: I quite like that entry thanks. I'm not a fan of the man in the right and would prefer the BG to be less plain, but overall I quite like it.

@kikoben: Wrong size; please reread the OP

@nguyen_huy_hai: I'm not sure that this would fit into my site, although I accept (as above) that this is my fault for not being clear I've amended my OP to give a better idea of the look of the website the header will be used on.

@Gooddesigner: I really like this one thanks. The images, text and colors blend nicely. I'm not a fan of the image on the right; I guess I'd prefer not to have a person in the header image for some reason. Perhaps try with a different image though? Plus if possible, could you try with some slightly different/lighter shades of blue? No worries if not though; am just curious how it'd look.

Thanks for all the entries Competition ends on the 1st and I'll aim to give feedback on anything new before that date, although there's a chance I'll be AFK so might not be able to. Will try to though. But yeah, thanks to all who have entered thus far.

@kikoben: Thanks for the revision. To be honest I don't feel that it blends too well, but thanks all the same for entering

@Gooddesigner: Thanks, really like both of those. Am a big fan of the changes to the name and tagline (and tagline background) in the 2nd revision. I think I prefer the righthand image from the 1st revision (the three people with the laptops), although overall I prefer the 2nd of the revisions. Many thanks, am a big fan of the entry

@Abdel: I like parts of it although think the BG is a tad too plain, thanks though.
