Reminder Calendar

Anyone know where I can get a reminder calendar type where I can insert a date a month or so from now and when that day becomes the current date, I will get a pop-up on my computer reminding me of what I wrote down a month ago?

I've search and searched and can't find anything. I'm on Windows Vista.

i would also like to know of such a service. but i would prefer it to be a online service

If you don't mind using an online one, you might want to try Google calender. I've never used it (I prefer a good ol' fashioned real calender on my wall) but after playing around with it for a bit it seems pretty good.

Google Desktop, although a resource hog, has multiple add ons that work like you want.
