RELIABLE web hosting needed ...

A certain NamePros regular, whose highly promoted server deal just went belly up, has left me in a lurch on the eve of an important site launch. As such, I need to relocate the site to a new server.

The hosting account must be setup to be easily configurable, accommodate multiple sites, be php/MySQL compliant, lightening fast, and of course, priced to thrill.

Reliability is of critical importance. I'm not going to again entrust my sites to a server syndicator or start-up.

Please email a complete and detailed overview of your hosting/server program(s), including pricing and the related URL.

I have no idea what you need or what price you expect to pay, however I thought I'd just let you know that I've been with my main server provider for 2 years with absolutely 1st class support and service and no problems at all.

Check out www.pronic.biz and if necessary contact [email protected] for further information, ask if any special deals etc.

Like I said I don't know what you need/expect but my experience has been so good I thought I'd pass it on (I'm not affiliated to or rewarded in any way by Pronic).

Although there will surely be others who will be disappointed, I do not believe the originating user/promoter had/has any larcenous intention. He simply didn't have the necessary cash flow and/or credit standing to pay for the host server while awaiting monthly receivables. As such, for now, I think it's best that I withhold his identity.

Still, I am none too happy that I promptly prepaid two months of hosting last night, minutes after receiving a billing statement which failed to disclose the forthcoming shutdown. A prompt refund has been promised and I believe this promise will be upheld. He's not a bad guy.

Although this may be somewhat indiginous to inexperienced, under-funded, fly-by-post promoters, it's as much my fault for not following my original instincts to host my sites with a more conventional provider.

Fortunately, I was wise enough not to move my corporate agency site to his server. Had I done so and the site suddenly vanished, I'd have given the appropriate go-ahead to Sal and Guido.

As for the server, I'd check out Milescape.com (managed reseller accounts), Rackshack.net (UN-managed dedicated servers), liquidweb.com, hostrocket.com, etc.

They all seem veery reliable and cost effective.

I have paid $20 a mth. for over 5+ yrs for hosting of 3 core business sites here: www.PAIR.com
Not the cheapest, but they have never failed me in ANY area. I highly recommend the great Pair Network.

yea, iam also looking for one. also a couple of weeks ago there were also 2 hosting ads, along with hilldj and another one i don't remember, so i will look into both of the offers.

If you are still looking for hosting, we have been doing this since 96. We are in no way the cheapest provider out there but I would consider our pricing reasonable.

Hey, you guys (and guyettes) are great. I really appreciate your recommendations, kind assistance and generous offers. My PM box runneth over ... with not a single gratuitous sales pitch.

Incidentally, as expected, I did receive a full and timely refund. As I indicated at the outset, I never felt that the server syndicator's intentions were dishonorable. Still, a lesson learned.

I'm glad to hear that all is kosher here, Scott ... particularly in regard to the refund received. To me, it points to the fact that it was simply an error/misjudgement ... and we can all rest easy.
Appreciate your update, and I, too, have received referrals as to your request ... which have been forward.
This thread may have indeed offered much more than its intended, initial request ... and in true Namepros spirit.

Happend to me to, but not as bad for you..
I payed a member here in namepros for one month hosting, i worked alot with it to upload files and stuff.. Then the server just disappeared ... And i didnt get my money back.. I tried to contact the guy , but he didnt answer me at pm or email...

Im guess its the same guy...
