Nice coupon. Thanks for the heads up. I assume you get a free 1 year extension with the transfer?

You get what you pay for. I wouldn't use registerfly if they paid me for my domains. They'll just end up taking them from you if you dare try to get any customer service. They seem to hate customer service there at RF.

Think I will use this promo to transfer some of my backordered domains.

I have been using RegisterFly since 2004 and have so been satisfied with their service. I have transfered both domains in and out without any problems.

This one (from 3/21/06) was a 24 hour special and has already expired.
I use Registerfly for all my domains and they offer this and other specials quite regularly which I am notified of by email.

As DGridley pointed out TheFlyPaper site is also a good reference to check regularly, but keep in mind sometimes these specials are 1 day long and can be missed if you forget to check daily.

Absolute and UTTER BS!!!!!!!

Did you contact ,RegFly (PAUL),Registerfly's own NamePros member, with your concerns??

Yes they ,registerfly, has had issues at time with customer service ,But unlike a lot of other registrars they have done everything needed to resolve any problems I have had. No reasonable registrar will ""TAKE"" names because of customer service problems ,unless there is a VALID reason. I without hesitation wil continue dealing with Registerfly and I have 1121 Reasons to be happy with. That is how many Domains I have registered with them.

Unlike ?????????SITE.com who refused to transfer 7 of my names until expired , or Web********.com who refused and still refuses to refund $25 setup fee for a Hosting/Domain deal that was never completed due to problems with the Server.

I like GoDaddy customer service. They called me and left me a very friendly message when I became a member there. I think I have a domain or two over there at RegisterFly but I think GoDaddy is the way to go.

I am surprised but ....... why would anyone need customer service from a domain registrar ? :o
okay, maybe once in a blue moon......

everything is pretty much automated for almost all the registrars out there ... and if there's any confusion with regard to domain management, control panel issues, bulk edits, pushing etc etc .. i guess most do have a pretty comprehensive FAQ section.....

if even that doesnt suffice, a google search with the right terms fetch the answers almost instantly ......

of course that's not to say that one would never ever need support.....

Regardless of what you may think about regfly their system looks more buggy than average. Their scripts sometimes have a very strange behaviour that I've never seen elsewhere.
I have domains with dynadot, namecheap and others... never had a single problem.
With registerfly system glitches are too common, but I have to say problems were solved satisfactorily, even if sometimes it takes them 9 days to address the trouble ticket.
perhaps it's the symptom of a company that has grown too fast.
If in doubt do your own research :|

I know that every penny counts especially since I have 100s of domains but I have decided that security and peace of mind were more important than cheap pricing. Better safe than sorry.
I cannot afford to lose my names or wrestle with deaf customer support. Don't be lured by cheap offers, if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is :imho:
