Redirect

Can anyone tell me how to redirect all sub domains to the original domain.Example : anypossiblesub.com redirect to mainpage.com

Any help or point me to the correct thread would be appreciated. I have looked everywhere...

You could use PHP via the header() function:

header("Location: URL");

URL is the destination http url ( I'm not allowed to post a real URL yet

Or you could use a server option like mod_rewrite.

Create CNAME for all the subdomains and direct it to main domain name. The way you do www.example.com to example.com. Subdomains redirection the same way.

If you have cPanel hosting you can redirect as much as you want in the subdomains dashboard.

Or, if you have Wordpress installed on your site, you can download one of the many redirection plugins. E.g. I use "Redirection" by John Godley on one of my sites (http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/redirection/). Works well - not affiliated.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Apparently there are many ways to achieve the redirect. Finally got it figured out with much help from you all and the great support at Dynadot!

Created a wildcard subdomain "*" and forwarded it.
