I wasn't familiar with this term and was inclined to agree with the above appraisals.

On further research however, Google shows 617,000 result pages using 'Rectifier'. The first result shows a company called "International Rectifier" which happens to be a billion dollar company. Maybe there's commercial value to this term afterall?

Dictionary:

Rectifier - Electronics. A device, such as a diode, that converts alternating current to direct current.

Both Google and Overture have companies bidding on the term, up to $.75/click. If wanting to sell, I would research and contact those companies first seeking an end user sale.

Appraisal value ~$30 reseller, $500+ retail. Best of luck!

Rectifier

Rectifier's are used in the gas line industry to provide a small electric charge (cathodic principal applied to the Bart Tunnel in San Francisco. It goes into the ocean, but hasn't corroded away, due to this. I've heard even large battleships use rectifiers and cathodic protection. Just some fyi!!! :?

Searches for rectifier ...

Wordtracker
international rectifier 527.0 /day
rectifier 130.0 /day
bridge rectifier 94.0 /day
silicon controlled rectifier 65.0 /day
rectifiers 58.0 /day
etc.

Overture
international rectifier 181.0 /day
rectifier 70.7 /day
bridge rectifier 22.1 /day
silicon controlled rectifier 18.8 /day
full wave rectifier 18.2 /day
rectifier diode 14.3 /day
etc.

If you ignore "international rectifier" (company name with website at irf.com) it seems that there is some interest out there for rectifier info.

Must be worth something??

Oops!

I should have said "natural gas" lines. But, they probably use rectifiers for gasoline and oil lines, too, anyway!!! Glad to offer something I know a little bit about. Anyway, it's all for corrosion control.

More fyi: See www.Vniigaz.com/english/production/pde/pde.htm for a picture, and explanation of a rectifier!!!
