Recover cancelled domain

Hi,
A domain that i had just got cancelled, I was away and didn't pay attention to the emails regarding renewall, my fault...
Now how can i recover this domain, i've seen the whois and says:

Status:PENDING DELETE RESTORABLE
Status:HOLD

Contact your registrar as soon as possible. The "RESTORABLE" means they should be able to get it back for you, but there's a fee you have to pay once it's in pending-delete. This fee depends on the registrar, but it's often over $100. I had to pay it to godaddy once. So I guess it depends if the name is worth it to you.

And if i don't pay it now, how much time do i have to wait before it becomes available to purchase?
