I received a "give price quote" for a domain on a Unireg lander this morning. I googled the email and it's someone who works for a super large MNC (that everyone here would know). The domain was listed as a BIN for a stupidly low price (I guess I got desperate a while ago and lowered it) on Uniregistry, but they didn't look through the marketplace and must have simply inputted it through their browser.
Anyway, I inflated the price quote by a lot (now I'm thinking I could've done even more given the company) and am awaiting a response. I adjusted the BIN on Uniregistry and all the other marketplaces to reflect this new quote. But I'm anticipating them asking why the price is so much more than was listed as the BIN.
Does anyone have experience with this? What can I say if they come back with, "The domain was listed at (this price) at BIN. Why is your quote so much more?" Can I say something like, "This was an old price that didn't get updated in the system..." or something like that?
Furthermore, if it is indeed an acquisition for this MNC, after I've quoted them, I can't go back and inflate the price even more, can I? Lol...
