Really... how does Enom $6.95 account work?

I got a $6.95 account but have been finding out some weird stuff about it. For example, my reseller price for .WS is $26.95 but it allows me to create a retail account registering .WS for $16.95. That doesn't make much sense since the least I should charge for .WS is ($26.95 + $0.95)x1.03 = $28.74...? Same for .TV, which the main account can register for $44.50 but the retail account can do that for $44.25.

What's the reason for the discrepancy? Is it because my higher-level reseller twitched my prices a little? Is there any way to find out what Enom's lowest prices are for each TLD?

Correct me if I am wrong. I can set any price for Reseller accounts (above $8.95, but what about other TLDs?), but Retail accounts should cover the 95 cents fee and overall 3% charge? Thanks a bunch!

Eg. If my sub-reseller account pricing is $8.95, do I earn $2 from each registration? And if sub-retail account pricing is $8.15, do I earn $0.01 from each registration?

You can charge what ever you want for domain names. So you get the middle fee.

I have no idea whats going on with .tv and .ws weird :(

Thanks. But, I understand that there's a difference between sales from sub-Reseller accounts and those of Retail accounts? What I needed to clarify is if sub-Reseller sales incur fees of any kind, just as Retail accounts incur a fee of 95 cents plus 3% of total transaction. If not, then I should be able to profit $2 from setting reseller prices at the mandatory $8.95, and earn 1 cent from setting retail prices at $8.15...?

I just have to make sure that I do my own calculations right, since Enom's quirky prices (see first post) will mean that I might lose out on each retail sale made.

Subreseller should not incur any charges to you because, they deposit the money themselves and the fee is deducted from them directly, while you earn the commsion for each domain the subreseller registers.

As for the quirky prices, probably you can try to create a support request for enom...

The main difference is that with reseller you have the right to resell (duh) also with reseller you have to deposit $100 to be able to buy any names.

read their advert.:

$5.99 domain name registrations account. A popular choice for large quantities of names which don't need any DNS services (such as defensive registrations).
